At twenty, the only thing Rachel is good at is losing her jobs. So, when she interviews for a job at Checkouts in her local outdated supermarket she has one plan, to keep it. However, she finds she's placed in the down-market deli instead. Unable to fathom working with myriad forms of fresh meat, Rachel decides to try and get a transfer to Checkouts. The only trouble is, no one is interested in helping her.
Meanwhile Bader, the bumbling Supermarket Manager, is fixated on getting rid of the Deli Manager, Sandra. But Sandra has a score to settle with Bader and wants his job.
