Defense Forces and Human Security

In a global context marked by rapid and complex change, the notion of human security has emerged as a broader approach to security, encompassing dimensions that go far beyond conventional military threats. Whether food, health, environmental, economic or digital security, these issues challenge the Defense and Security Forces (FDS), who are called upon to intervene in a wide range of fields.Traditionally, the FDS are seen as the guarantors of national security. However, recent crises - pandemics, natural disasters, mass migration and cyber attacks - have demonstrated the need to redefine their roles. The SDF must now respond to broader societal expectations, while reconciling their defense missions with the management of new threats.The question is: how can the FDS evolve towards an integrated human security approach, capable of responding to global changes, while ensuring continuity in their traditional defense missions?
