Realistic and exciting

Since I have lived on a ranch, I find this book to be so realistic and believable . There is suspense, romance and excitement in this book. Ms. Cassidy has done a good job of developing the characters and her descriptions are execellent. Another good read by Cassidy.

Zack's Duty to Defend the Rancher's Daughter

Kate Simpson pulled the pickup out into the center of the wide expanse of the pasture. In the distance storm clouds gathered, hanging low and black. She walked form the truck to check a stock water tank. It had been two weeks since her father's death, she shoved thoughts of her father aside needing to finish and get inside the house before the storm. Not far away the huge herd of cattle became restless. A flash of lightning ripped through the sky. She checked the water level. At that moment a loud noise seemed to come from near the cattle. Within seconds the ground began to tremble as the cows headed for her. She raced to the truck and dove under. She called Zack West to help her find out who had tried to kill her and what was going on at the ranch. She had a crush on Zack many years ago and he was leary of helping her out. However he agrees and can't believe the things that are happening at the ranch but swears to protect her and find the person doing this to Kate. It is a fast moving story and you will love it. It will keep you on your toes.
