I loved this book. I approached it with some trepidation, since it was obviously about sailboating, not a subject that much interests me. But this is a book about sailboating in the same sense that Gone With the Wind is about cotton farming. What it is, is a love story, the love of Gene and Kevin, and their love for sailing; and yes, the author makes both loves so vivid that you find yourself utterly caught up in them, sharing both the sweet moments and the bad between the two protagonists, and sharing the thrill of adventure as they take to the seas and battle storms and their own fears. A beautiful piece of writing, first rate on every count. Victor J. Banis, author of Tales From C.A.M.P., JACKIE'S BACK
