In 1980, a group of high school students were on a field trip near LeCenter, Minnesota. None of them could have anticipated what they would find. There, on the banks of a small pond, were frogs ... Deformed frogs ... Frogs with seven legs, eyeballs in their throats and numerous additional ailments. Soon thereafter, similar deformities were found in frogs across the United States, Canada and as far away as Japan. Mark Davis was a field biologist, studying the problem. Mark was the kind of guy who totally immersed himself in his research. Friends called him "the original tree hugger " Mark's girlfriend, however, was his exact opposite. "Ms. Cosmopolitan" could have been her nickname Julie didn't know the difference between a reptile and an amphibian and she didn't care. When she visited Mark on weekends, all she wanted was his attention. This remained true until one day, Julie made a discovery all her own, changing everything they had ever shared...
