Great book in so many ways

Wonderful true story ! After a painfully difficult childhood this courageous woman conquered her demons with her love of animals and Mother Nature .

I bought this at a sweet independent bookstore on vacation last Spring in Salem, Oregon. Lucky find- together with the fictional Overstory- also really good. This is a highly-skilled, take-you-there-with-her author. Full of life and nature and life. Thoughtful observations; deep sharings. Non-fiction. Super real. Fresh air. Fresh water.
