This book is the result of master's research carried out within the Post-Critical Studies Programme at the State University of Bahia, Campus II, Alagoinhas. The Lauro Farani Pedreira de Freitas State School and the A Din mica Educational Centre, both located in the municipality of Ia u, Bahia, served as the research sites, under the supervision of Professor Dr Osmar Moreira dos Santos. Now, the dissertation has been expanded into a book. It is an investigation into the inventive tactics employed by students in Basic Education through the lens of literature. Taking literary entrapment as the central issue, the objectives were to identify these tactics and to conduct a critical-cultural analysis of these creative forms used as an escape from the constraints of literature. Through the case study, action research methodology was employed; data collection took place via studies of pedagogical reading projects, workshops, and written and oral interviews.
