Deathryde: Rebel Without a Corpse

They say you can't cheat death... Well, that doesn't stop these guys from trying. James DeRossa is a natural born rebel. Just released from Jackson County Jail, he turns his back on the family funeral business in Detroit and heads out to Tinseltown to set up a heist and settle an old score. Who better to hire than a group of unscrupulous undertakers. Only this time they aren't burying anyone, they're out to disinter $25 million in missing cash and ice. But Detective Hank Gladwin brought his shovel to the party and is onto DeRossa when his list of suspects starts pushing up more than daisies. These felons are all about to join a deadly procession and one hell of a ride. DeathrYde: Rebel Without a Corpse is written in the hip, offbeat, satirical crime novel style of Elmore Leonard and Carl Hiaasen. Fans of Six Feet Under or Evelyn Waugh's The Loved One should also appreciate this oddly entertaining book.

Loved it.

I loved Deathryde:Rebel Without a Corpse by Michael P. Naughton. I couldn't put it down. The situations and dialogue cracked me up. The cinematic flow and suspense kept me intrigued and glued to the pages. The characters seemed so real. I felt like I knew them personally. Now I want to see them on the big screen.

Deathryde? What a thrill ryde! I couldn't put it down.

This compelling mystery spawned from the imagination of one creative author, Michael P. Naughton, possesses all the components of true Hollywood glamour. The high speed chase, the cross country connection and the gothic people are just a few of the "looky-loo" elements that intrigue and spellbind. I couldn't put it down. Read Deathryde and you'll see "Y". The fine finesse of blending humor with suspense was ingenious and methodically implemented, very clever! Kudos, Michael P. Naughton, I look forward to your next novel.

An excellent mystery novel for fans of the genre.

The natural jump from undertaking to crime? "Deathryde: Rebel without a Corpse" is a gripping mystery about James DeRossa, who leaves his father's funeral home business to embark on a scam that could net him upwards of twenty-five million. Detective Hank Gladwin is on DeRossa's tail about his unsavory endeavors, and their cat-and-mouse chase has twists and turns throughout. An excellent mystery novel for fans of the genre.

I LOVED THIS BOOK!! Unique, funny and kept me guessing!

You can judge a book by its cover. Deathryde has a great cover that just makes you want to read the book, and the story really kept my attention, that's for sure. This author has a unique style of writing. He has a refreshing sense of humor mixed in with intrigue and mystery. I liked the characters. They were all interesting. There was a lot of them to keep track of, but everything was tied up real nice at the end. This book was a fast read. I never lost interest from one chapter to the next and had a hard time putting it down. I can't wait for his next book!!
