Book Overview
A missing woman. A vanished body. A village that closes ranks.
DCI Brendan Moran heads to the West Country for a quiet break, but Cernham is no ordinary village. When one woman disappears and another is found dead--only for the body to vanish--Moran's instincts won't let him walk away.
The locals are evasive. The woods press in. And as Moran digs deeper, he uncovers a troubling pattern of past disappearances no one wants to revisit. Meanwhile, back in Berkshire, his own team faces a rising threat that could shatter everything he's built.
What began as a peaceful retreat spirals into a deadly investigation--with danger on both sides of the county line.
Death Walks Behind You is the third novel in The Irish Detective: DCI Brendan Moran series--a gritty British detective mystery perfect for fans of Ian Rankin, Val McDermid, and the Shetland TV series.
