Hooked on Left Behind

Death Strike is the 8th book in the LBTK series, and probably the most crammed, adventure filled book, in the whole series to date (#32, and counting). We last left off with Vicki being taken back to Northside Detention Center. After a run-in with trouble, Vicki is left injured within the first few pages, and recieves word that there is someone that would like to adopt her! Who could it be, and will she want to go with them? Also, Vicki finds friendship within a girl named Janie, but wonders if she will ever believe the truth.Meanwhile, back home, Judd, Lionel, and Ryan are left amazed through the teachings of Pastor Bruce Barnes. With new security measures being brought up within Nicolae High, can they really risk bringing back "The Underground", since they have witnessed the trouble it can bring? With the return of a new friend, Judd decides to travel to Israel with Bruce, but when a mysterious illness strikes the pastor, the Young Trib Force is left to deal with the loss of a great friend, and the disapperance of another. World Word 3 begins, and it's going to be a rocky ride.Truly a favorite in the series, Death Strike delivers and really set the standards I've put the series up to. Always suspensful, and always inpirational, this series is one that you can't afford not to read.

Left Behind The Kids Book #8 Death Strike

I liked the book alot.A few reason I liked the book were the charecters. the charecters remind me of some of my friends. Smoe brave, some strong, some fun. Another reeason is how the author set up the chapters. At the end of one chhapter it would leave you at a climax so you would keep reading to find out whats going to happen. The third reason is how descriptive the author was. A good example is When the planes are destroying the city. The author does'nt leave out any details. The best part of the book was at the end. The planes attacked the city and starting destroying things. That was realy exciting. What i did'nt understand was why the author put that part at the end. I guess it was so you read go get the next book in the series to find out what going to happen then. There were some good story elements in this book. one was the setting. the book had fun and exciting places. Another was the climax. Ther was a climax at the end of each chapter. I suggest this book to everyone.

Prophecies come true.

More suprises as the Young Tribulation Force is hurtled into the Last few months of what Pastor Bruce Barnes calls the 18 months of peace. Vikki is adopted, the force gains a new member, and Judd becomes salutatorian. Bruce comes back from Indonesia with some disease. The second horse of the Apocalypse rides, and Ryan is missing. What will happen to the Young Trib Force as the 4 horses ride is a mystery to all. The end of the 21 month period is coming to an end bringing on the final seal judgements and ushering in the trumpet judgements.

Excellent for younger fans of Left Behind

I first read the entire adult series of Left Behind, and loved it. Despairing that I'd have to wait sooo long for the next book, I read the Kids series, and enjoyed it as well. I think these books are wonderful for people to read, especially the younger ones who wouldn't be interested in reading the 400 plus pages in the adult series. However, for older fans of the Kids series who haven't read the other set, I would definitely recommend reading those as well. The characters from both series interact, and although the Kids series fits its readers' age group well, readers get a lot more of what's happening in the adult version. I may sound a bit partial to the adult series, but that's probably because I read them first and I'm dying to get the seventh book. I am looking forward to the 9th and 10th of the kids series (so is my brother, who's just started reading them). By the way, they will be #9 The Search and #10 On the Run for those who are interested in the future coming titles. Hope I haven't confused anyone about the kids and adults books.

Your hear beats faster... then you realize, its JUST a book.

"Left Behind: The Kids #8 Death Strike" is based on the best-selling book, "Left Behind." It is the story of four young friends going through the Rapture and Tribulation. This book has it all: action, adventure, death, romance, and even that high school speech we all dread. The authors are Jerry B. Jenkins, and Tim Lahaye, and this is their newest book in a series of 48. I have enjoyed all eight and cannot wait for #9 ("The Search") and #10 ("On the Run"), comming in May of 2000.
