"There is nothing like a glorious Texas Hill Country morning..." even for New Yorkers moving to Texas. John Boone became infatuated with Fredericksburg, Texas, on a work trip representing his New York computer firm. Bitten by the new adventure bug, laid back Texas lifestyle and beautiful landscapes, he packed up his household and wife, Joann, and headed for their new home on the edge of the Pedernales River. After meeting Viticulturist Trevor Talan and traveling to Portuguese wine country, they even planted their own dream vineyard. Life seemed perfect. Toasting the sunsets each night in cozy rocking chairs on their back porch, they began to witness at dusk shadows moving in the vineyard.
