It's never a dull moment for the Hamilton girls, Roberta being the youngest, can't let her siblings get the best of her. While she and her friends are out for some Labor Day fun on Weathrford Lake, she and her current boyfriend go for a walk and run across a dead body. Her father tells her she is too young to be hunting killers, but she is excited to be involved in her very own murder mystery. That is until Henry Miller, Roberta's new boyfriend, gets almost killed. Henry really doesn't care who killed the con-man, but he does care about Roberta and he wants to be close to her, so if being close to her means hunting a killer, he will be out there looking. Will she and Henry find out who is out there killing people or will they be the next victim?
