This essay is why I believe in the doctrine of universal salvation, which is the belief that everyone will eventually be saved. I believe that the resurrection of Jesus conquered death for everyone and not just those who are Christians or those who believe or do certain things. I look at verses from The Bible, as well as several quotes and ideas from other sources, including Thomas Talbott's book "The Inescapable Love of God." This is for anyone who struggles with the concept of an eternal hell and doesn't understand how a loving God could allow anyone to suffer eternally because of mistakes made in a finite life. Until learning about universal salvation, I struggled with the same thing and want to share what I have learned.
