What is it about not being alone that people find so tempting? It's a human condition, I believe. Whether or not you are surrounded by people or in a room of your own, there is some creature gnawing at the back of the mind, reminding you that you are alone. Reminding you that there is no one. Depressing, isn't it? Mildly upsetting even? Fear not, because alongside that creature in your subconscious is another less frightening one. The one that bears good tidings. He reminds you that you aren't alone, that you are meant to be with someone. That there is a person waiting for you-your soul mate. Not in a sappy, romantic way, but in such a way that you're just subtly reminded that you are not alone on this floating blue marble.
