Insight from the Inside

I found this author's perception of the struggles with maintaining mental health in a jaded mental health system insightful and provacative. Her writing style although a challenge at times is brilliant. I bought extra copies for friends who deal with similar issues to give them the hope that Ana inspired. I particularly related to her metaphor on medications leaving you feel as nothing more than a "guinea pig to the pharmaceutical companies". Although the book is entertaining fiction that gets you caught up in the different characters and how their lives intersect, it does maintain an element of integrity in describing the feelings of those who struggle to maintain normalcy and the challenges of the people who love them.
