Deadly Refusals

The small rural town of Grandview Illinois was a safe haven until fire fighters find the bodies of two prominent doctors and their daughter dead in the newly constructed building that was supposed to be a medical building. The local police worked on the triple homicide for a couple of years but nothing added up and the case ran cold. A homeless vagrant moves into the building and becomes a prime suspect. Three special homicide detectives from Chicago take over the investigation and attempt to solve the case. the detectives sergeant, Jeff, is totally frustrated until he meets Emily Mitchell who holds information that will close the book on the mystery. The young girl, Emily Mitchell, becomes involved in betrayal, child abuse, murder, and extreme danger. Despite the fact that Jeff finds her annoying, he can't do without her help and soon realizes that he doesn't want to. when her life is threatened, Jeff promises to protect her ... but fails.
