WAY Ahead of Its Time, and Well-Written to boot...

After reading this book, and considering the year it was published, you'll immediately realize that it is far ahead of its time.CSI is the number one TV show, and has several different versions. But this book beats the story in *ANY* CSI episode, is much more fully developed, has an incredible cast of characters, AND is well-written to boot. This is an marvelously sophisticated story, that is substantially a thriller, but also with much more substance than the typical thriller. I am actually surprised that this book has not been made into a movie yet. Considering that _Twisted_ was made into a movie, I think this book still has a real shot.According to the book, the author collaborated with renowned pathologist Isidore Mihalikis. This is not just another slapped together run-of-the-mill mystery novel. It is a impeccably researched and delicately told piece of literature. Furthermore, the "Fox" character is among the most colorfully drawn and engaging protagonists I can recall in this genre.I cannot say enough good things about this book. I don't want to spoil the ending, but it is stunning. However, the most important part of this book is that, unlike (for example) the DaVinci Code, you still care about the book after knowing the ending.I encourage anyone looking at this page to buy this book at any cost; you will not be disappointed.
The biggest mistake you'll make is putting this book down...

This book reminded me of "The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen" with one major difference. It didn't suck. At first blush, there might appear to be an odd pairing of characters. A veteran cop and a dentist aren't whom you'd expect to find fighting crime. Even Sherlock Holmes had help from Dr. Watson. And, it goes without saying that "Seymour Pinchus" is a classic detective names, on par with Sherlock himself.Far from putting this book down, I hold it up. Way up. A tight, tight book. One might say, the biggest mistake you'll make is to put this book down. Those who don't put it down will agree, the biggest mistake you'll ever make is to bite your victim...
The reader will be addicted to solving a fearful murder case

At the beginning, the story doesn't seem to interest anyone, but as the reader reaches to one third of the book, he will immediately be addicted to reading the book and in finding who had killed a graduate student. Dennis Asen keeps the reader wondering who had killed this beautiful graduate student by bringing up different people who could have commited the crime. A retired police officer tries to solve the murder case, and so he seeks help from one of his friends who's an expert on teeth marks. Dennis Asen plotted the story well, leaving the reader wondering, "Who killed that innocent girl?" The murder case is closed with a surprising ending, shocking the reader.
Absolutely impossible to put down!

From the moment I started to read this book, I could not stop. I stayed up most of the night (and I had early class in the morning!) and read more than half. Then all day at school and work all I could think about was "who dun it?!". As soon as I got home, I plopped on the couch and read the rest. The characters are so well developed, the plot is great, the story is gripping and there are so many suspects. Asen keeps you guessing until the very end. If you love murder mysteries and detective stories - get this book!!!
