District Attorney Joshua Edward Travers is just settling into his new role as Solita County's top cop. Finally in charge, he unexpectedly finds himself on the horns of a dilemma, as he studies the strange missive from a woman named Dawn O'Mara. Mrs. O'Mara's late husband, Tommy Deen, was mortally wounded trying to repossess a debtor's pickup truck for the Houston used car lot that sold it to him, and she insists TD's killer beat the rap.
