Serial Killer With a Twist

DEAD ON is woven around an intriguing premise - a serial killer chasing his prey through time. It begins in Virginia just after the Civil War and makes its way to a small town in Pennsylvania in the present time. Jameson manages to remain true to her characters in the different time periods and has a nice way of handling setting, especially the current time in a picture-perfect small town with some sinister secrets. She gives sufficient detail to make settings and people come alive without robbing the reader of the chance to engage their own imagination. In addition to a compelling story line (and I'm not going to spoil it by giving away any more details), DEAD ON has some fine writing with many lyrical passages and a vocabulary that is interesting without being intrusive. I'd love to see more from this talented writer.

A masterful suspense wound through time

Ms. Jameson's Dead On is a seamless, masterful suspense wound through time. Exploding far beyond today's typical crime scene capers, the power of the book resides in the struggles represented by the romantic and realistic notions of time, the persistent human battles with fear, need and love and an elegant writing style. You'll dream along with Ann (the lead character), feel her trepidation at getting too close to a murderous fire and wonder about the bounds of possibility of everyday life and its seemingly random occurrences. Step away from your comfort zone and walk into Dead On with Ms. Jameson. It will shake your notion of suspense. --Mike Reynolds, Author of Surviving Bill

Poetically Woven!

Ending Packs A Wallop! This book speaks the unexpected, in poetic form. Meticulously full of deliberation, extensive, yet firmly constructed...the unknown is what keeps this book going, showboating mystery, illusion, alarm, surprisingly sensual, along with splashes of paranormal, while intimately painting the charm of Doylestown, PA. The first murder takes place at Fonthill Castle, which is, most assuredly real & definitely a castle. It was built by Mr. Henry Mercer in 1908. I can visualize a movie, the eerie old castle, the death-driven murder, cleverly slipping in & out each room of Fonthill. Slithering from the tour, without being seen, into a dusk ridden sky. Then, as fate would have it, he lurks, hidden in the trees behind the parking lot, waiting scrupulously to taste the blood of his first victim of this life. Man...if the right producer caught hold of this, using accurate lighting, gaining the quaintness of Doylestown, the movie would be like an anomaly in the rouse of suburbia. A challenge, even for Ron Howard! The psychology of this book is part of Kelly's polished technique, revisiting scenes of each life...each crime. It is... not only interesting, but what lies withering beneath the killer's madness, comes alive in your room. So, get comfortable, prop your feet up, with a nice glass of sherry, but...don't forget...to turn on the lights.
