DEAD NEWS

In pursuit of an exclusive story on a vicious serial killer, who has just been killed by police, an attractive reporter finds herself trapped inside a house, along with other victims and....the REAL killers, who appear to be twin girls.Dominique is an attractive reporter, who has grown bored with covering human interest stories and envisions herself as the star reporter of a new show....DEAD NEWS. Dominique receives information from Zack, who is a new homicide detective and partnered with veteran detective Eddie. Zack gives Dominique the location of a house, where a serial killer, Sean, was just killed by police, telling her that the house is a treasure trove of information, but he'll only give her the exclusive if she consents to a date with him. Zack also tells Dominique that it was really strange, as Sean had cut out his own tongue and super glued a handgun to his hand, prompting police to kill him, but fortunately...with him dead, there will be no more victims. Being Zack's first day as a homicide detective, Eddie fills him in on the political nature of the police force and that the Commissioner, Zack's step-father, is unwilling to increase the number of homicide detectives. As Eddie and Zack return to their office, in order to go through the evidence, Dominique and her cameraman, Cameron enter the boarded up house. They begin filming and wind up in the basement. As they start back up the stairs, they hear the laughter of several college students, who have chosen the house as a party house. The group begins to party, as Paige, having a British accent, comes into view and identified as the real serial killer. One by one, Paige begins horrifically killing the group of partiers, hanging them from the ceiling, on meat hooks. In the mean time, Zack texts Dominique, telling her that it would be "great", if he swung by the house and they did a little "investigating" on their own. As texts begin going back and forth, it becomes apparent that Paige has taken Dominique's cell phone and is not only texting Zack, but evidently also texted the party goers, getting them to come to the house. At the same time, Eddie discovers that the scene of prior killings were associated with texts from Sean. Eddie begins to suspect that Sean wasn't the real serial killer and that texts are being used to lure victims to "KILL HOUSES."
