Being dead is a lot more dangerous than I was expecting. Beyond the veil, monsters are waiting to devour and entrap souls.

Until the dead can let go of their mortal lives and release their tethers, they can't pass on.

That's where I come in. I help people cross over, for a minimal fee. Afterall even dead people have bills to pay. The only person I can't help is myself. So, for now I am just a working stiff.

This new case is a doozy. I can't do it by myself, so I have to get a partner in the flesh.

But I wasn't expecting a high-brow dame to be my guy Friday. Times sure have changed since I died. I hope I can solve this case before she ends up in the barrel herself
