Dead Clowns Pass
Spanning more than a century of terrifying legacy, Dead Clowns Pass is scarier, more brutal, and a hell of a lot more cracked up than anything you've ever encountered before.
With a body count in the dozens, John Schlimm weaves together current day and summer 1890 in alternating chapters that grab you by the throat from the first, blood-and-guts-soaked page and won't let up until your very last scream.
Current Day: You'll meet your new favorite first family of brilliant, creative, and savage psychopaths-the Menaces, who since 1890 have operated the hundred-mile stretch of Dead Clowns Pass in the scorching New Mexico desert. They're like if the Duttons of Yellowstone spawned generations of maniacally-lovable babies with the Firefly clan from House of 1000 Corpses.
Today, a group of longtime friends-The Creepy Crawlers Club-arrives to explore the infamous Pass and see the new statues honoring those who mysteriously vanished there in 1890. Very quickly and violently, the friends, who survived The Buddy's Supermarket Massacre five years earlier, discover they won't be so lucky this time when they come face-to-face with the Menaces.
Summer 1890: Colonel Clarence's Crazy Clown Circus-each member's face bearing its trademark, tattooed clown mask-sets out across the Valverde Pass, igniting a sinister plan to stop them dead in their tracks. Twisted and tortured, these performers and sideshow freaks ooze the creep-tastic vibes of American Horror Story-meets-The Hills Have Eyes, all while a merciless serial killer slices, dices, and mutilates them one by one.
