De Oratore Libros Tres Recensuit Joh. Bake
De Oratore is a treatise in the form of a dialogue by Marcus Tullius Cicero, in which the author expresses his own theories of rhetoric. Presented in three books, Cicero sets the discussion in 91 BC, with Lucius Licinius Crassus, Marcus Antonius, and several others as interlocutors. The speakers discuss the ideal orator, the qualities he should possess, and the best ways for him to acquire them.
Cicero's work remains influential for its insights into the art of persuasion and its exploration of the relationship between rhetoric, philosophy, and statesmanship. This edition, "De Oratore Libros Tres Recensuit Joh. Bake," offers readers a valuable resource for engaging with Cicero's enduring contributions to classical thought and rhetorical theory.
