"I shouldn't be paying for what they did to you in the past," he breathed in my ear. "This is the present, we're living it, and I'm here now. You belong with me, and I with you-can't you just see that?" I squeezed my eyes tighter, afraid of opening them and waking up from this dream, and warm tears rolled down my cheeks.
Eros pressed his lips closer to my ear, grazing the arch of my lobe. "I'm not backing down this time."

Small town graduating school student Sykhe never had an easy life: orphaned and never adopted from her foster home, she just wants to feel normal. But how, when she can't even feel any emotion, when she is uncapable of falling in love? To complicate things, the accident, and that nail stuck in her brain. Now she is just a "freak", and things will never be normal, things can just get worse.
And they do: she loses her friends, her foster family, her home. She doesn't expect life to change much when she moves to the big city for a job, but there she meets the handsome and mysterious Eros, who can summon an army of butterflies in her stomach every time their eyes meet.
