Haliande, youngest daughter of the goddess of the Moon, and Jentris, the handsome son of the god of the Sun fight the Lord of the Earth when he conspires to take over the three realms.
I recently discovered Sharon Green and bought a few of the older used books to start with. This was my first, and I really enjoyed it--read it in one day. I had some difficulty "switching tracks" from Jentris to Skyhawk, but I assume that was intentional on the author's part. I will definitely keep reading Ms. Green's other books until I run across a bad one, which I don't anticipate.

When I first started reading this book, I did NOT think I would like it. The heroine, Hali, seemed to be, well, a brat. Fortunately, however, she matures dramatically throughout the book. She goes from being an infatuated child (boo to Jentris!) to an independent woman (yay for Skyhawk!). Romantic, but still a great fantasy that mostly everyone will enjoy. The book keeps you guessing with a creative plot and realistic (meaning good, but not perfect) charactors. Several events in the book seemed far-fetched, but it's over all a light, happy read.Skyhawk rules! *grins*
This was an interseting book.

I thought this book was original, well thought out, and very entertaining. A nice coming of age book with a lot of magic and imagination.
