Poetry was the natural way in which David expressed himself and this selection of poems is a reflection of his thoughts, feelings and experiences over a period of sixty years.David's childhood homes were in London, Oxfordshire, Rottingdean and Fowey before the family lived on a ketch called 'Red Setter' for two years. Rottingdean was the home of his grandparents and that was where he went to school before being sent to Stowe in Buckinghamshire. After leaving school, he lived and worked in London before moving to Henley-on-Thames after David & Gwen were married. During this time, the family spent 4 years overseas in America and Australia before returning to Henley in 1980 where he lived happily until the end of his life.
