David Susskind: I Was a Hitman for the Mafia

An explosive interview that explores life inside the mob. It's 1973 and "Joey" the Hitman has just written a book about his life in crime. To promote the book he goes on Open End and describes in detail not only his claim to have killed thirty eight men, but many other aspects his life as a mid-level Mafioso. To "Joey", its all just business. Of the thirty eight people he has killed, thirty five were "contract" killings for the Mafia. He also describes three revenge killings involving three men who had previously tried to kill him. "Joey" further describes many other aspects of his various jobs in the underworld, such as gambling, loan sharking, prostitution, numbers running, and highjacking. David Susskind is quite taken aback by the calm and straight forward demeanor of his guest and really can't believe that a fellow human being can be so matter of fact about the life that he has led, prompting "Joey" to declare that a psychiatrist once told him that "he was the coldest man that he ever met".
