David Stone - A Philosophical Poet

David was born in Chicago in 1949. He obtained a B.A. from the University of Illinois, with his major area of study being German phenomenology. On completion of these studies, he did a further year's research at Tel Aviv University. At Tel Aviv he took classes in Hebrew language, Bible study, American literature and American drama. A character who still haunts him today from this time period is his lifetime alter ego, Jasmine. Jasmine appeared in Israel in 1971 as a wandering poet. Today, Jasmine is a shape-shifting persona, fully integrated into the psyche of Stone.
