He is helped by a rogue alien entity that is tired of being an instrument of destruction but who, to avoid detection by its race, can only speak to Dave. His task is simple, contact the leadership of the world, tell them he has spoken to an alien and that they need to give up every advance developed within the last thousand years. The problem is that they have to believe him and then actually convince people to do it. What follows is a funny, yet thought provoking journey that explores whether extraordinary people are born that way, or are in fact, just ordinary people thrown into an extraordinary situation, forced to get on and deal with it because it's better than the alternative.
