The struggles of their relationship coincide with Detroit's struggles with race and religious prejudices. How this young couple perceives the adversities surrounding them shapes how they will begin to cultivate the next generations to make this world a better place. The war may be over, but the war on racism and religious prejudice is still being fought one mind at a time.
