Daughters of Ash
In a crumbling city where hunger gnaws and children vanish into the state's ledgers, women turn to a celebrated doctor named Selene. She promises order. She delivers silence. Families with too many mouths lose their infants. Desperate mothers are handed contracts that sell their bodies as surrogates. The poor are culled while the wealthy are spared. Selene calls it mercy. The city calls her the Butcher.
But Selene isn't the only one keeping records. Her nurse - once silenced, now watchful - sees the cruelty hidden behind clinical smiles. Alongside Clara, who keeps forbidden notes, Maris, who has been diminished into obedience, Elsa, the assistant who knows too much, and Amara, too blind with privilege to question, the truth begins to smolder.
When revolt breaks the city in chains, the women must decide: remain shadows in someone else's ledger, or risk everything for freedom.
