Fantastic story

The story tells us that an ordinary person just like us can be successful. It's not easy, but if you can try hardly enough, do whatever you really interested to do, the door of success will open for you. In the book, the author describes a different way of life -- you can be honest, attractive and successful at the same time. I will suggest my friends to read it.

An inspirational book for all...regardless of gender

Inspiring

I was fascintated by the author's struggle to overcome the difficult circumstances of her childhood in China. She met every obstacle with energy and great self direction. The anecdotal details about her experiences are lively and colorful. The author's tremendous good spirits, optimism, and trust in herself help her achieve her goals in international business.

This story grabbed me and wouldn't let go.

When I received my review copy, I thought I would be reading "just another rags to riches success story." I was cynical going in.. but this story grabbed me! I thought I knew a bit about China, the Cultural Revolution, and building businesses, but Diana Lu brings a perspective I had never imagined. I have a new understanding and appreciation for Chinese culture, capitalism and the importance of global trade as a bright future for our world. "Daughter of the Yellow River" reads like you are there. I feel like it will change the way I look at many things.. forever. A great experience.
