There were only two things in the world that could distract Luke McAllister and come between him and his ability to think clearly: a beautiful woman and a woman in distress. Unfortunately for him, Callie Johanssen happened to be both. So when he came across her all alone and scared out in the expansive prairie, he was helpless to ignore her.
