A Gripping use of Prose!

Great read! I was glued to the pages as the lives were protected and saved by mighty angels and deceived and ruined as puppets by mighty the dark-things. David's vision of Satan creating "Death" was awesome, I was in the lab, frozen as the plot unfolded and transformed the unwitting demon into Death it self. keep writing and your gift will make room for itself. And keep praying the enemies/dark-things are not pleased when someone turns on the light.

The reality of the unseen.

This book is really good. I don't like reading books to much but this book I could not put it down. Mr. Humphrey Sr has done an excellent job on keeping the reader on the edge from page to page. He shows how real the world is and how the battle is not just for us alone to go through. Keep doing what you are doing Mr. Humphrey. May GOD continue to bless you through your work.

Oscar Material?

This is without a doubt Hollywood movie material! If they think Jason and Jason returns 15 times will draw a crowd, what would happen if they ever had enough guts to put the "real thing" on the big screen?!The battle for man's soul has been so clearly described here that even the biggest doubting Thomas would have to rethink their position on whether or not there is a God. This book offers entertainment, excitment, and deep thought provoking situations for the reader. A must read for believers and non believers alike. To God be the glory for bringing this wonderful author to the forefront where he belongs!

Captivated from Beginning to End!!!

In a word, "OUTSTANDING"!!!! Awesome Mr. Humphrey. Absolutely awesome!! I can't believe this is the first time for this author. I'm not an avid reader, but this captured me and I could not put it down. Talk about painting a vivid picture! Mr. Humphrey's ability to bring his characters to life is superb. I almost thought I knew these people. My spirit man was strengthened by the literary genius of this author. Any believer would be. Bravo, Mr.Humphrey. Keep up the great work. I'm truely expecting great pieces of literary art from this up and coming writer. Hey Devil, the jig's up!! Somebody's got your number!! And he ain't scared to tell it!! DARK THINGS is a treat of true delightful excitement and pure adrenaline. From the moment you begin, you are thrown into the very thick of chaos. A whirlwind of drama and mayhem surround you as you learn of the characters plight and names. What seems like a quick intro, is merely a formality... for as the story quickly unfolds your feeling of angst grows. This is a story unlike any other. It's characters? Humans ... Celestial Angels... Dark things, and the plot, this combination makes for the best incredible read you will ever have! This is not a book you put down ...UNTIL YOU'RE FINISHED... otherwise you will annoyingly find that, "life" just gets in the way. Many times I found that I couldn't stop reading and when I did... my mind was reeling. Sleep wasn't important, finding out what happened to the characters was. I was right there.... in the operating room as Virginia barely clung to life, there when Mahatiel was attacked... there when the dark things plotted to steal what didn't belong to them... there as they devoured souls in there path..... there.. NO! It wont do for you to just read the review. This is a novel that has to be read to gain the FULL understanding of what I mean.It's hard to believe that such an piece of work is the first for David M. Humphrey Sr.The images and clarity of this work of literary art mandates it be read. I honestly believe that this only the first of many novels to come. In excited anticipation I eagerly await the next installment. As a voracious reader, I have to say that this is a book that all who read will enjoy. DARK THINGS will make an incredible movie. It has everything to captivate an audience and MORE! The word is spreading about DARK THINGS. This is definitely one for your book club(s).
