Dark Muse: The oldest blessing, the oldest curse

The story and the series follows two women, Lee and Vi as they struggle with their unnatural duty. They are the muse, in this Jewish rewrite of that myth. They are charged with inspiring the creative types, who can also become depressed and suicidal as their minds cannot take the stress. The duty of these two women requires them to see their proteges soar and also crash. In other words, they have to help them end their lives.

Vi hates it and is at the end of her rope, so to speak. Lee is comfortable with it, as she has develped a hard shell. The two meet and develop a strained relationship. Vi, however finds a normal man who she falls in love with. This story and their relations develops over the course of the series.
