Dark Love: We are most alive when we are in love

We are most alive when we are in love Dark Love The rain was like night. I don t really know what caused it. Not that I would like to have the freedom to do whatever I want at any time. My mask in hand, I stood on the first-floor landing, watching Rika, sitting in her car.
She had her head down. Despite the torrential rain falling on his windshield, you could see his face, lit by the light from his laptop screen. I shook my head, my teeth clenched. I watched my best friend's fiancee finish tapping.
Then the screen light went out and she opened her door, got out of the car and started running through the pouring rain. Eyes and head down. Arms above the head to protect against the rain, blocking his field of vision. I took a long breath of fresh air, my heart pounding, my hunger growing.
Suddenly, the sound of the rain, which poured down the alley outside, invaded the dojo and the heavy iron door slammed on the ground floor. My heart pounded harder in my chest and I closed my eyes to savor the sensation. I pulled the hood of my black sweatshirt over my head and turned to look over the railing. " Is there anyone there?" she asked again, more urgently this time.
It was always the first thing people noticed about Rika. In the darkness of his penthouse, in the darkness of this dojo, in the darkness of the alley, in the dark rooms and in the dark streets... she always stood out. I gripped the steel railing, my feet firmly planted in the ground, and watched him walk slowly down the main hall. She looked right and left, suddenly on the alert, before activating the switches again.
Her breathing quickened as she tightened her grip around the strap of her bag. Head tilted to the side, eyes still on her, I suppressed a smile. I should have let him know I was there. And, as she walked into the room below, I couldn't help but want to take full advantage of this moment.
She didn't know I was there, just above her. She didn't know I was watching her right now. She didn't know that I could run up to her, corner her and knock her down before she had time to understand what was happening to her. I didn't want to scare him, and at the same time I did.
And I didn't want to like it, because it made me sick. My breathing started to catch and I gripped the rail harder, suddenly frightened by my own reactions. " I know you're there," she said, looking around, her eyebrows furrowed. But the expression of bravery on his face was forced and I felt my lips stretch in spite of myself in a smile under my mask.
His long gray T-shirt revealed one of his shoulders. The top of his chest and his neck, soaked with rain, shone. It was likely that no one had seen her enter the building. And the way she had just started backing out of the darkened room seemed to indicate that she was realizing it.
The metal floor creaked under my feet and she looked up at the noise. She looked at me. I headed for the stairs without taking my eyes off her. " Mia?" she asked.
