Dark Deviant: A Dark Mafia Enemies To Lovers Romance

By Kristen Luciani

A dark standalone Russian Bratva romance with enemies to lovers, forced proximity, secret baby, and one-night stand vibes. The assassin came to kill her...and discovered she's the mother of his child.

I met him on the worst night of my life.

Juilliard rejected me, my father had just been murdered, and I was six cocktails deep in a hotel bar in Kiev when I fell - literally - into the lap of the angriest, most beautiful stranger I'd ever seen.

One night. No names. No regrets.

Until the pregnancy test came back positive.

Two and a half years later, I've rebuilt everything. New name. New look. A YouTube piano career that supports my entire family. A daughter with her father's dark eyes who will never know the dangerous world she was born from.

There's just one problem.

Her father just broke into my house with a knife to my throat and murder in his gaze.

Danil Malikov didn't come for a reunion. He came for revenge - convinced my brothers killed his mother at his sister's wedding. He was supposed to slit my throat and walk away. Clean hit. No loose ends.

Then our daughter screamed Mama from the next room.

And the assassin who swore he had no limits discovered one sleeping in a onesie with his exact face.

He didn't kill me. He took us instead - said I was leverage, bait, a means to an end. But the man who sat on my bedroom floor all night holding his daughter against his bare chest so I could sleep isn't a man who's using me.

He's a man who's terrified of what happens if he stops pretending he doesn't care.

Danil carries guilt like a second skin - a hockey career destroyed, a family meeting that spiraled into murder, a mother who died because the bullet was meant for him. He says he can't be redeemed. That every story he's in ends the same way.

I'm rewriting the ending. And our daughter already chose her side.

She called him Daddy before he even knew her name.
