The day Fitzwilliam Darcy marries Elizabeth Bennet, he thinks his life is complete at last. Four months later, even greater joy appears on the horizon when Elizabeth finds out she is pregnant. But it is not long before outside forces intrude on their happiness. When the unthinkable happens, Elizabeth and Darcy must discover their love for each other all over again. Romantic and insightful, Darcy's Temptation captures the original style and sardonic wit of Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice while weaving its beloved characters into an exciting new tale. In a story set against the backdrop of the British abolitionist movement, family difficulties and social affairs weigh heavily on the newlyweds, and a dramatic turn of events forces Elizabeth to try to recapture Darcy's love before the manipulative Cecelia McFarland succeeds in luring him away.
When I first ordered this book, I did not know that it's the same as Darcy's Dreams which I already own, so I was a bit disappointed. But that doesn't change the fact that I find it a delightful read! I am a huge fan of Pride and Prejudice and have read countless different variations. This one ranks among my top ten. Darcy's Passions was a fantastic story - so very touching, full of emotions but always true to the spirit of Jane Austen's original. This sequel is just as awesome, though quite heartbreaking at some points. We are amply compensated for the heartache with a very satisfying ending. It rounds up the story in a perfect way.
A thoroughly satisfying journey....

I really enjoyed this sequel to Pride & Prejudice. I admit to being skeptical about the amnesia aspect that I read about in the prologue, but I was hooked and it did not seem so far fetched. The characters and style were very much in keeping with Austen's original. I suffered two sleepless nights because I could not find it in myself to put the book down any sooner. You are completely immersed from the first page, I highly recommend starting with "Darcy's Passions" to get you in the mood.
