The Danville and Pittsylvania Cavalries were two of over two dozen companies that had a heavy enlistment of Pittsylvania County men. The two Cavalries rode with JEB Stuart much of the war. Battles included the Seven Days Battle, 2nd Manassas, Sharpsburg, Gettysburg, Yellow Tavern, Petersburg, Five Forks, and Appomattox.
