Growing up in the poverty-stricken streets of Winston Salem North Carolina Lyra Monet was determined to make something of her life. After graduating High school with 4.0 GPA her dreams of leaving the hood behind started to become a reality. 5 thousand dollars short on her tuition and no help to pay for school Lyra runs into an old friend and decides that a temporary fast lifestyle would give her the funds to make her big break from the streets of Winston Salem. Lyra will come face to face with making decisions no 18 year old should have to make. Although Lyra's new lifestyle starts with the right intentions will she get caught up in accumulating fast money? Or will she make her money and follow her heart to a better life style? Lyra will be forced to see that easy money cannot only change your life, it can also make you stagnant in its pursuit.
