Danny is visiting Asheville, North Carolina, for its fall festival. He has invited his longtime friend, Lucy Travor, to experience the beauty of the mountain celebration. Asheville is renowned for its vibrant arts scene and historic architecture, including the dome-topped Basilica of Saint Lawrence. The expansive 19th-century Biltmore Estate showcases artwork by masters such as Renoir. The Downtown Art District is filled with galleries and museums, while the nearby River Arts District features artists' studios housed in former factory buildings.
One morning, Danny receives a call at his rental chalet from Sheriff M. Parton, an old acquaintance from New York. "Hi Danny, it's Parton. I'm the sheriff here now, and I have an intriguing situation that I would like your assistance with, given your past success in New York. We discovered a body in the museum this morning, just before it opened. By the way, is Lucy with you? Great I remember she was an exceptional forensic expert and technically savvy. Would you both be able to help me?"
