About the author and illustrator Hannah Lisa Johnsen wrote this short story at the age of 7 years old for her Young Author's Short Story Contest in the second grade, competing with each other and the rest of Maryland's Elementary Schools' second graders. She was pleased to discover she had won. However happy she was to hear the news, she wrote this story and drew the pictures, because she loved to imagine stories and she loved to create drawings and color them. She really did not care much about winning. The author currently attends Guilford Elementary School in Columbia, MD and is in second grade. Besides telling stories from her wildest imagination and drawing or coloring them into reality, she also loves playing with her friends at school and neighborhood. She is like any typical 7 year old little girl, but with much more energy and passion for life. Often she turns to writing and drawing as an outlet when she has too much energy to let loose, but cannot control it.
