Jenelle Embrey, a single mother of two boys from rural Virginia, never expected to challenge corporate giant Chrysler. She'd rather forget the horrific events of October 5, 2012, when she witnessed two people die in a fiery crash. Embrey, however, isn't one to walk away from her conscience. She adopted a new mission to proclaim the victims as heroes saving other innocent victims from the same fate. Embrey would scream the details of their unnecessary deaths to the world. Embrey sought support to force Chrysler to publicly admit flaws in the design of certain models of Jeep Cherokee, Jeep Grand Cherokee, and Jeep Liberty SUVs that catch fire in rear-end collisions because the gas tank sits directly in the crush zone. She gathered nearly 130,000 signatures on her online petition to Chrysler, united other safety advocates, and discussed the issue on major news outlets across the country. "Dangerous Jeeps and Me " is the story of one woman's quest to right a wrong, all the while working her full-time job of 15 years, caring for her two teens, looking after a cousin with intellectual disabilities, and volunteering at her local animal shelter fostering numerous kittens. As word of Chrysler's callous disregard for safety spreads, Embrey hopes to prevent more unnecessary tragedy. All proceeds from the sale of this book go to nonprofit / charity organizations.
