Example of when a pseudo teacher writes a book students must purchase to participate in the class...

This book was assigned by the author to their students. It's a book designed specifically for a classroom setting. As you can see from the review dates this book produced no long term interest. Possibly because it is a regurgitation of other people's ideas framed as the author's own. This book never passed any academic oversight committee nor could it. Citations are not present regarding ideas the author claims as his own. I would look to a more honest, upfront author. That said the insights relayed are not detrimental. They are simply not his own.

Great book

This book is very well written, well organized, with easy to follow exercises. If you take your time and do the exercises I believe you will improve your own health and also become a healing presence to others. Its not just for health care professionals but makes a great book for anyone to check in with themselves.

This work is a gift to leaders and teachers as an excellent resource for those who want to be a healing presence in the circle from where they are doing and being their work. It is a valuable teaching resource to carry with you and review when holding the space for individual and group communication and interations. The practices have an ease and grace that are naturally transformative, intiating an unfolding of healing phenomena that arises in your self and others. I carry the book with me in all my travels as a continuing guide in my role as a transformational guide and mentor.

This book offers a practical, clear and concise description of using various principles, including those based in nature, to apply to one's life and the world around us. Mr. Balles offers examples of different ways of being to bring about less unneccessary suffering and to help create openness for creating possibilities with oneself, relationships with others and with larger groups (ie. communities, the work place, etc.). He describes different ways of viewing the world, our relationships and ourselves. His descriptions and examples of learning from the seasons are easy to understand and thorough, which aids the reader in having a greater connection with nature and therefore the natural order of all things. I highly recommend this book for anyone interested in experiencing a greater peace within and around themselves while increasing the positive contribution they make to the world around them.
