Excellent book, must read

I read the book, spent many long hours over several years with Ed discussing his life and evolution, and received extremely valuable guidance from him. This book presents a unique and extremely important insight into how apparent severe loss in one's life turns out to be the key, essential event(s) to true spiritual awakening and transformation. Ed is incredibly frank, honest, brave, funny and entertaining in this book, and it gives a powerful example and lesson in the duality of "loss" and how it is essential to understand and achieve "gain" in the form of a truly awakened heart and spiritual awareness. Ed Beckley is a highly evolved and enlightened individual.

Captivating

I laughed, I cryed and I even cursed... as I made my way through the story of Ed's life,the insights about our truer self, some of the mistaken ways we identify and categorize ourselves and the (laugh out loud) ways we take ourselves so seriously. If your ready, this book can change your life. I am stronger, clearer, and more alive than I have been in a long time...and this book was the start. Thanks Ed, see you soon.

Great book

A wonderful autobiographical account of a life filled with great spiritual insights. It sounds like the first reviewer (Liberation through parole) has some personal axe to grind against the author. I found the book to be brutally honest when it came to the mistakes the author made during his life.
