The year is 2075. It is a dystopian future. The local town, Bruton, is rundown. The economy has been trashed by another financial disaster (people only deal in gold and silver coins - there is little electronic commerce). Time travel has been a fact of life for more than 10 years. However, it is so heavily restricted that it is basically illegal (the penalty for unauthorised time jumps being a mandatory death sentence).Brogan Harris arrives home from work to find that his wife and child have been murdered by a local drug lord. Through contacts that he has, he is informed that the drug lord, Rocco, is claiming that it is a revenge killing; and that Brogan is next.Using his connections, Brogan must risk dangling from the end of a rope and go back in time to find out what caused the blood bath - or at least to gain vengeance for his wife and child.
