Book Overview

The bible's book of 'Romans' was written by Paul and is a wonderfully powerful discourse that encourages, exhorts and admonishes the Christian in their walk with God. As for most of the bible, when reading this letter many times over the years, God takes each of us on a journey, revealing more as we mature and are able to receive all that is being said. The wonderful dialogue becomes naturally familiar and a crucial staple in our scriptural diet. Roman's ever rich teaching continually permeates our understanding with the wisdom, knowledge and understanding of God's inspired Word, so essential in guiding our lives.

Romans specifically, and the bible more generally, are indispensable reading throughout every Christian's life, as we continually remind ourselves of God's Word and receive from him increased levels of revelation and understanding, pertinent to both our current and continually changing situations. The teaching we receive is enlightened by the presence and wisdom of God's Holy Spirit, renewing our minds for Godly living, and preparing us to meet Jesus eternally.

The many scriptural references are essential reading in fully complementing this book and reinforcing what God is saying. It is my hope and prayer that in following this daily devotional, the reader will experience the Holy Spirits presence, teaching and guidance. Knowing clearly what Jesus accomplished and understanding the rich, eternal life we have been given, enables us to love the Lord deeply and grow ever closer to him.
