A great reminder

I thought the book was excellent. The author used real life cases that are easy to identify with. As a Dad that has raised and released the brood I found that maybe I did not do as bad a job as I thought. I bought copies for my two sons, two nephews and son in law who are all Dads now.

Dads DO matter!

Dads Matter

Dads Matter is a fresh look at the relationships we have with our dads. Bob has provided a number of experiences from a variety of different people, mostly men, but not all. I found the book enlightening.... some parts brought me to tears. Other stories, especially those about Bob's experiences with himself and his family members was downright laugh-out-loud funny. Knowing the Hazleton family for almost thirty years now, I must admit my initial reason for picking up the book was looking for references to me! Instead I was engulfed in the stories. It was interesting to read Rick's story (my husband), and I felt a closeness to those stories whose authors I know. Bob did a great job of incorporating the many aspects of a dad's life and their importance in life. Dads do matter.

A brilliant take on Dads and parenting in general

I devoured this book in just a few sittings -a wonderful call to new action and new thought, from the simple "don't call you kids demeaning names" to the profound "what kind of dad do you want to BE?". I was inspired, challenged and often provoked to remember how the simple things can be the most profound, and I'm a mom! Reading this book was a wonderful opportunity to take a fresh look at my own parenting skills, and to revisit the profound impact of my own father in my own life. I laughed and I cried, and I bought more copies for friends.
