Her album She's So Unusual (1983) was the first debut L.P by a female to produce 4 top-5 hits on the Billboard Hot 100-"Girls Just Want to Have Fun", "Time After Time", "She Bop", and "All Through the Night"- Lauper receiving the Best New Artist award at the 27th Grammy Awards in 1985. It was followed by the soundtrack to the movie The Goonies and her 2nd album True Colors (1986), including the chart-topping single "True Colors" and "Change of Heart", which hit US # 3.
