ENGLISH DESCRIPTION

The complete stories of an exceptional writer, winner of the Premio Cervantes and Chile's Nacional de Literatura awards and a member of the Boom generation, collected in a volume published on the first anniversary of his death.

In addition to his novels and autobiographical works, Jorge Edwards was known for his short stories. He published his first collection, El patio, while still a teenager, and although he is better known for Persona non grata and his later novels, he wrote short stories all his life. In them, he touches on many of his trademark themes: childhood and adolescence, life as a journey of becoming with no fixed destination, death, family, breakups, love and erotism. And as a backdrop, the turbulent second half of the twentieth century. This volume includes Edwards's published works, some that appeared in magazines and anthologies, and others published here for the first time. Curated by Eduardo San Jos .
